Here’s a “boots on the ground” — or should we say “boots on the beach” – tip:
Just go to the front desk or to the beach hut, where we got to know Shelton on our first visit. Originally from Haiti, Shelton has worked for Villa Renaissance since 2017, patiently watching over his guests and the private array of lounge chairs and umbrellas from sunup to sun down.
But Shelton quietly and efficiently does so much more to ensure that guests have the best time ever.
With his connections and friendships on the island, he can arrange an activity or excursion with just a phone call or two. As an example, friends we made who were also staying at Villa Renaissance told us they wanted to go horseback riding along the beach, but the online reservations were all booked up.
They told Shelton, and he said, “when do you want to go, and for how long?”
One phone call later, and Shelton had arranged for a boat to pick the family up the very next day and take them to the other side of Provo to ride horses to their hearts’ content!
This same kind of service and expertise is available when you stay at Villa 306.

Most activities include beach side pickup, right in front of Villa 306.
